Responsibilities:
As an Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our outreach initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:

• Community Engagement: Assist in building relationships with community organizations, partners, and stakeholders to expand the reach and impact of our programs.

• Advocacy Campaigns: Collaborate with the team to plan, organize, and execute advocacy initiatives that align with our mission and goals.

• Event Coordination: Support the planning and implementation of outreach events, including workshops, community meetings, and public awareness campaigns.

• Resource Development: Assist in creating informational materials, toolkits, and other resources to support advocacy efforts.

• Data Collection and Reporting: Track outreach and advocacy activities, gathering data to measure impact and inform future strategies.

• Communications Support: Contribute to the development of messaging for newsletters, social media, and other communication platforms to amplify our advocacy efforts.

 

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in social work, communications, public relations, political science, or a related field.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Interest in advocacy, nonprofit work, and community engagement.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in using digital tools and social media platforms.

• Enthusiasm for working with diverse populations and fostering inclusion.
